INFORMATION FOR THE 2009-2010 SEASON
Registration Fee must be paid by all students. New students pay this when they enroll after they have had their free lesson. Returning students pay when they register for class. Lesson Fees are divided into 11 sessions: August – June Recital. All sessions are the same price. All Lesson Fees are due on or before the 14th of the month. Payments are considered past due the start of the following session, and a Late Fee of $5 per class will be charged for every session the payment is late. Private lessons, duets and trios are special classes, and fees may vary. You must be enrolled in one 1 hour class to take a solo or duet/trio. We have a dress rehearsal and recital every June. This year’s Rehearsal will be June 4 and the Recital will be June 12 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto. Both begin at 5 pm. Recital is voluntary, but it is the biggest production we do all year. Costs include costumes, shoes, etc. Most classes use one costume but perform two numbers. You will learn more about Recital as it comes closer. We have no strict dress code for dancers. We do ask that students wear dance attire and we recommend appropriate judgment when choosing dancewear. However, for Ballet and Acro classes, leotards and tights (no shirts allowed) are required and hair needs to be pulled back. Dance shoes are a necessary part of each dancer’s equipment, and must be worn in class. Certain classes may require more than one pair of shoes. Please check with your teacher if you have any further questions regarding dance/footwear. All dance bags and shoes should be left behind the wall in Studio 1 and in the student area of Studio 2 to decrease the interruption on classes. Absolutely NO TAP SHOES are to be worn in Studio 2, and only approved street shoes are allowed. For their health and safety, dancers should arrive for class on time so that they can take full advantage of the warm up. After 10 minutes into the class, the dance room door will be locked. Regular attendance is most important so dancers can keep up with the pace of their classes. Please help to see that dancers come prepared with dancewear and shoes. Hair should be securely pulled back and away from the face.
We reserve space for the entire season for each student in the classes in which they are registered. There is no prorating or credits for classes missed, nor are any cash refunds given. Makeup classes may be arranged with the teacher and scheduled at the first available time following the missed class. Picture days, costume try-on days, and Dress Rehearsal are considered regular class days, so no makeup classes will be available. Some sessions, due to different reasons (Holidays, etc.), may have only three lessons and some may have five lessons ~ Fees remain the same for all sessions regardless. The only sessions prorated are your first and last sessions of the year (August and June). If during the year, you wish to drop a class in mid-session, you will be charged for that class for the remainder of that session. However, your following session price will no longer include the class you dropped. You will be given a year long calendar with studio closings, holidays, studio parties, and other events scheduled for the studio.
